The aim of the two-year MA programme in Translation Studies at the Jagiellonian University Chair for Translation Studies is to train highly qualified multilingual specialists in the field of translation and software localisation. The studies include practical classes in specialised and audio-visual translation, computer-assisted translation technologies, internships in the translation industry, and lectures and classes in methodology of cultural studies and translation studies. The studies include translation classes in two foreign languages: English and a selected second foreign language.
Working languages: Polish, English and either French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian
Duration: the studies last 4 semesters and end with diploma exam and MA thesis defence.

We put special emphasis on practical classes, which are conducted in the form of translation workshops or specialisation classes. MA seminars also have a practical dimension: one of the options for writing a thesis is to make your own translation and annotate it, critically analyse a translation or build a terminological dictionary in a given field.
