dr Mariusz Marczak

Adiunkt w Katedrze Przekładoznawstwa. Absolwent Wydziału Filologicznego Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego. Stopień doktora nauk humanistycznych w zakresie lingwistyki uzyskał na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Jest Przewodniczacym Konsorcjum do Badań nad Edukacją Tłumaczy (Consortium for Translation Education Research - CTER). Zajmuje się lokalizacją treści cyfrowych, m.in. stron internetowych. W Katedrze prowadzi zajęcia specjalizacyjne, w ramach których realizuje zespołowe projekty tłumaczeniowe obejmujące przekład tekstów specjalistycznych z wykorzystaniem aplikacji działających w chmurze, zajęcia z technologii tłumaczeniowych, w tym narzędzi CAT, tłumaczenia maszynowego i postedycji, lokalizacji oraz seminarium magisterskie o tematyce: wykorzystanie nowoczesnych technologii w przekładzie oraz zagadnienia współczesnej dydaktyki przekładu. Jest koordynatorem projektu dydaktyczno-badawczego Global Understanding, administrowanego przez East Carolina University w Greenville, NC, USA, programu Erasmus+ oraz przedstawicielem Katedry ds. kontaktów ze stowarzyszeniem Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).
